Do you know that most people carry more than 10 lbs of caked fecal matter in their bodies? John Wayne had about 40 lbs and Elvis Presley had about the same and died sitting on the toilet bowl. He had so much compacted fecal matter that once he almost died of a heart attack trying to force a bowel movement.
These days some people are turning to expensive bowel cleansing programs to resolve this problem, temporary at best. Scientists informed that our colon is so easy to clean and does not require such intensive and harsh action which can cause injury to the intestinal lining and open to bacterial infection. Thus, if we can practise constant cleansing, our colon should continue its good work and contribute to our good health. In fact, 80% of most illnesses are a result of an unhealthy colon.
Before we go further, why is cleansing the bowel important?
As we know the food processing chain ends with the removal of waste in your colon. If you attempt to clean your liver, blood or lymph system without first addressing a waste filled bowel, the excreted toxins will only get recycled back into your body. The most common bowel problem is constipation, mostly attributed to a low fiber diet and lack of sufficient water, which cause our fecal matter to become condensed and compressed.
Over time, it can develop into hemorrhoids, varicose veins, hiatal hernia or other mechanically induced problems. Basically the longer the “transit time”, the longer the toxic waste matter sits in our bowel which allows proteins to putrefy, fats to rancify, and carbohydrates to ferment.
The longer your body is exposed to putrefying food in your intestines, the greater the risk of developing disease. Even with one bowel movement per day, you will still have at least three meals worth of waste matter putrefying in your colon at all times.
On top of all this, your system can also become continuously self-polluting by the poisonous gases that are caused by foods you cannot tolerate. These poisonous gases can enter your bloodstream, irritating your organs and joints. So having fewer bowel movements or poor quality bowel movements over an extended period of time are very hazardous to your health.
Diarrhea is also an indicaton of foul matter in your intestines. In more serious problems, cancer, immune system dysfunctions and deaths can develop.
What can be done?
(1) Rid as many processed foods as you can from your diet. Also avoid deep fried foods, barbequed/ grilled foods, alcohol etc. These foods have no fiber and get stuck in the body.
(2) Incorporate lots of fruits and vegetables into your diet for fibre intake to add bulk to the stools.
(3) As much water is stored in the large intestine, having this moisture is crucial for proper functioning. Here we refer to plain water and not juice, tea, coffee, sodas etc. It is believed that by taking cold food or drinks, your stomach needs to warm it up. To do this, the body pushes lots blood to your stomach and thus robs other parts of your body of blood.
(4) Ensure that the friendly bacteria are always there to promote optimum function and acts as a protector of gastrointestinal tract.
Conclusion
Constipation is more of a lifestyle issue and will just continue if minor changes are not taken to improve the situation.
Colon cancer is a big killer amongst guys who are generally meat-eaters when it can be one of the easiest cancers to prevent!
WHO’S IN CHARGE?
I should be in charge” said the blood, “because I circulate oxygen all over so without me you’d all waste away.”
“I should be in charge,” said the stomach,” because I process food and give all of you energy.”
“I should be in charge” said the legs, “because I carry the body wherever it needs to go.”
“I should be in charge” said the eyes, “because I allow the body to see where it goes.”
“I should be in charge, “said the rectum, “Because I’m responsible for waste removal.”
All the other body parts laughed at the rectum and insulted him, so in a huff, he shut down tight.
Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, the legs got wobbly, the eyes got watery, and the blood was toxic. They all decided that the rectum should be the boss.
The Moral of the story?
The ASSHOLE is in charge. Do not fool around with it!
